Job Opening: Bakery Chef de Partie (CDP)
Location: Fas a Fas Bakery & Cafe – Ubud, Bali
Position Type: Full-Time
Fas a Fas is an artisan French-inspired bakery and café located in the heart of Ubud. We are known for our high-quality breads, viennoiserie, and pastries made with precision and care. We are currently seeking a skilled Bakery CDP to join our production team and help us maintain and elevate our standards of excellence.
This position reports directly to the Executive Chef.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise the production of bakery items for both retail and wholesale distribution.
- Prepare and bake a range of artisan breads, sourdoughs, baguettes, and viennoiserie (croissants, pain au chocolat, danishes, etc.).
- Assist in daily dough preparation, shaping, proofing, and baking processes.
- Maintain consistency in product quality, texture, and appearance.
- Execute recipes accurately and contribute to ongoing product development.
- Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards are upheld at all times.
- Provide guidance and support to junior bakery staff, fostering teamwork and efficiency.
Requirements:
- Minimum SMK Tata Boga or equivalent vocational culinary education.
- At least 3 years of experience in a professional bakery or bread-focused kitchen.
- Solid understanding of fermentation, dough handling, and classic French baking techniques.
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work efficiently during early morning shifts.
- Able to work weekends and public holidays when required.
- Domiciled in Bali (priority given to Bali-based applicants).
